1990 Volkswagen GLI

These pictures are from the 1990 VW Jetta Catalog. Mine was
EXACTLY like this one.
This is probably the ONLY car I ever owned
that I never took any pictures of... "Why?", you ask. Because I
was too busy driving it, and having fun doing it. For my first
job at the Tribune, I drove all over the North and West suburbs.
However, I had this one in the dead of one of the snowiest winters
since I've been here in Chicago. This car was the most fun to
drive of any car I've owned with the exception of my '67 Mercury Park
Lane. So, after six months of driving the hell out of this baby,
I decided I could not bear to destroy it, so I traded it in on a brand
new 1992 Isuzu Amigo.
