This was my first new car. It looked great, but had the speed of a snail. It was so slow. I kept this one for over a year!!! While I was in Denver for Air Force Supply Officer School for three months, it started acting up. I was hanging out with my friend Deirdre Mahon, who was stationed in (and originally from) Denver and she was driving a brand new 1987 Honda Accord LX. I loved it so much, I called my friend Jimmy Dukes, a lawyer in Hattiesburg whose father owned a Honda dealership, and asked him if they had any white '87 Accord's on the lot. It just so happened that they had ONE left. He hid the car in the back lot of the dealership. Someone found it and pulled it around to the front the morning I got back into town.
